Kirby Grange Halloween and Birthday Celebrations

We have had a very busy few days here at Kirby Grange preparing for our annual Halloween Party and our resident Betty’s Birthday celebrations. 

Staff and residents pulled our all of the stops to ensure that Betty had a wonderful birthday and a specially made homemade cake. There were smiles all round and everybody had so much fun celebrating Betty’s special day. 

This year, Halloween at Kirby Grange was made extra special with a live performance from Britains Got Talent semi-finalist Pippa Langhorne. We welcomed friends, family and members of the local community to enjoy Pippa’s performance and provided everybody with plenty of delicious food and drinks.

Staff and carers were over the moon to see our resident, Iris, joining in on the fun and showing us her moves when one of her favourite songs started playing. Iris usually struggles to engage with others and often needs a lot of encouragement to join in with activities. The impact that music has truly is amazing. Below we have included a video of Iris dancing her heart out at the Halloween Party.

Our residents and staff made an impressive effort to dress up for Halloween and enjoyed getting in the Halloween spirit with face painting and pumpkin carving. 

Here at Kirby Grange, we aim to make every occasion special and enjoyable to our residents. There has been so much laughter and dancing over the last few days and we can’t wait for our next party!
