Kirby Grange Residents Visit Birdland

This week residents and staff at Kirby Grange visited Birdland Park & Gardens in Bourton-on-the-water, Gloucestershire. 

The residents loved seeing all of the different species of birds, and they also visited the indoor Discovery Zone where they had the opportunity to meet a number of amphibians, reptiles and fish.

We all welcomed the opportunity to learn all about the animals in a controlled and enjoyable environment.

Some of us were lucky enough to meet some of the birds and had the opportunity to feed, touch and look at the birds up close.

One of our residents made a new feathered friend that sat on her shoulder and wanted to come home with us!

Here at Kirby Grange, we work closely with our activity coordinator to arrange exciting activities and outings that benefit our resident’s wellbeing.

We had a lovely day at Birdland and our residents thoroughly enjoyed their outing.
